This lightning photo is titled "Genesis Collection No. 7" and was taken at Trigg, which is located in the northern coastal suburbs of Perth, Western Australia.

The lightning strike was photographed with a 28mm wide angle lens and the length of the exposure for this photograph was about 3 minutes 30seconds.

This lightning picture is the last of a sequence of 7 photographs which comprises the Genesis Collection and chronicles a storm over Rottnet island.

This sequence of lightning photographs was my first success as a storm chaser and started my career as a fine art lightning photographer.
